I doubt it is cheap enough to use it in real-time games. You could add such cloth simulation to some complex environment, such as Heaven demo. What do you think of cloth sails on mill's wings? How much FPS would it cost?
Cloth is cheap enough for games, especially on multi-core CPU's. Mill wings and flags don't require collision and object interaction.
